Things That I Spend Too Much Time Worrying About

I spend a lot of time worrying. I should probably stop that.

But for fun, here are the things I spend too much time worrying about:

  • $$$
  • Where my black t-shirt is
  • If someone will use my designated baby names before me
  • Whether fats or carbs are more harmful
  • If I ran far enough
  • How much I spent on my jeans
  • If I turned my screen off at work
  • If there are bugs in my apartment that I can’t see (I KNOW THERE ARE)
  • How long I’ll have to live in a damn apartment
  • Whether or not my upstairs neighbors are sawing at a skate ramp or a body at 11pm
  • What other people think about me
  • Whether or not I can pull off crochet
  • The fact that I don’t have a style
  • How damn busy I am every weekend (booked up till June 16)
  • How everyone else is getting married before me
  • The state of today’s children (read: ¬†their weakness and inability to handle the world as it comes at them)
  • The disappearance of cursive in schools
  • The disappearance of memory due to Google
  • The disappearance of spelling ability
  • Friends moving away
  • Whether or not I go home enough
  • If I really needed two Michael Kors bags
  • Where I’m going to get married (I’m from Northwest Ohio, Mike’s from Western PA, I live in the middle)
  • Why I can’t do the crafts that I find on Pinterest
  • What I could cook if I actually cooked
  • Whether or not Mike will leave me because I cannot cook ūüėČ
  • If I could keep a plant alive
  • Why people fight about religion
  • Why anyone would own a guinea pig
  • Why moose don’t live in Ohio
  • Why Mike doesn’t like the flat lands
  • Why I haven’t traveled
  • Why I hated North Carolina so much
  • Why we haven’t invented a teleportation system yet
  • Why I can hear cardinals lately, but I can’t seem to find them

So I promised pictures…

And here they are! ¬†If I’m in the grey dress, it’s the wedding. ¬†Blue sweater, bachelorette party, anything else, 3 year anniversary.

Back in Ohio, 3 Years In, Love Him More Than EVER

Hi People!

I’m back in Ohio after my weekend with Mike in PA, Maryland (at the Rocky Gap Resort), and even a lil bit of West Virginia. ¬†We had such a great time, and the weather couldn’t have been better. ¬†We hiked and drank and ate and loved. ¬†It was perfect.

I’m playing catch-up at work right now (this is my 3 minute lunch break just to update–does that tell you how much I love you all?), but I’ll post pictures soon.

In fact, I owe you a plethora of pictures, don’t I? ¬†Perhaps tonight, after a long long long run (in my new kicks!) in the 80 degree March weather. ¬†Unprecedented!

For now, I’ll tide you over with this–a picture of the ring Mike got me:

I love it!

Happy first day of Spring!

Big Plans This Weekend! Plus an Anniversary Recap

I probably won’t get to blog tomorrow…because I’m leaving work at noon…to go celebrate my 3-Year Anniversary with Mike! ¬†I’m pretty darn excited about it.

For our first anniversary, I was still living in North Carolina and Mike was in Pennsylvania. ¬†We met in the middle at Pipestem State Park in West Virginia and we had a blast. ¬†We hiked around and stayed in a beautiful lodge, and we truly just enjoyed each other’s company. ¬†We took a too long hike and ended up climbing a vertical hill after a bunch of turkeys to get back. That weekend, my chicken was shaped like a heart, too. ¬†We watched the sun set and stood on our balcony drinking champagne, and Mike gave me the first (and only) ring he’s ever given me.

I had long, brown hair:

Mike showed me how to scurry climb:

Even the food was lovey:

And my ring:

Then for our second year anniversary, we stayed in downtown Cleveland. There are plenty of pictures from that glorious weekend!

For our three year anniversary, we are going to a resort in Maryland. ¬†I know nothing about it–Mike is planning it solo! ¬†So I’m very excited to see what this weekend will bring. ¬†ūüôā ¬†Maybe a new ring? ¬†WINK WINK!

What a Weekend!

UPDATED:

We dance. Oh yes.

Friday, I (helped) buy my boyfriend a gun.

Saturday, my cousin Hilary married her now husband Josh and we had a heckuva time at the wedding.

And Sunday, it was 65 degrees!!! ¬†I ended up running 5.5 miles and walking another 5.5 with my mom and brother’s girlfriend, Katie. ¬†And Mike got to golf.

It was just so much fun. ¬†Check back tonight for some wedding pictures! ¬†Right now, I’m too busy. ūüėČ

A Mapper’s Wedding Ring

About three times I week, I lose myself in internet fancy and start staring at big-stoned wedding rings. ¬† I rarely look at men’s rings because frankly, they’re not so exciting. ¬†But I found this one today:

For those of you who may not know me, my boyfriend is a mapper.  Not the Christopher Columbus, track the stars, wear stockings and a three-pointed hat kind of mapper, but rather a real-life one that actually makes maps of Pennsylvania and loves the land.

Which is why he needs to marry me ASAP so I can buy him this ring! ¬†Whatdya say, Mike? ūüėČ

I. Met. David. Tutera!

Oh. My. God. ¬†Yes, that’s David Tutera. ¬†WITH ME.

Mom and I got to meet him on Monday at about 10:30 a.m. ¬†I gave him a hug. ¬†We talked for about 10 minutes, during which I told him that I wanted him to be my “something blue” on my wedding day and handed him a bridal handkerchief with a blue bow on it.

David said, “Can I sign it?!” ¬†OF COURSE YOU CAN!

So now, when I get married, even though I may not be able to get David Tutera to plan my wedding, I will have a little piece of his pizzazz and style with me as my something blue. ¬†I am so excited! ¬†I’ll post pictures of the handkerchief later, but for now… ¬†DUN DUN DUN!

I just really want to thank Kort, Chris, Phyllis, Jeannie, Mary Kay, and anyone else who was involved with making this happen. ¬†I’m so lucky to have gotten to meet him. ¬†***SQUEAL***
