Flowers and Champagne

Friday night, Mike showed up at my doorstep with flowers and a bottle of champagne.  🙂  No special reason–just that we hadn’t seen each other in a couple weeks.  We had an incredible weekend filled with popcorn shrimp and Christmas shopping, smiling across the stores, holding hands in the concourse.

It makes me realize how much I want him here–how good it could be.

I’m excited about how busy the rest of December will be.

Company lunch tomorrow, brother’s birthday Wednesday, going to Pennsylvania Friday.  Mike’s family’s Christmas on Saturday, a short three-day week culminating in the company Christmas dinner at a Japanese steakhouse.  Off to Fremont on Christmas Eve to help cook and wrap and get really really excited about everything, then Midnight Mass, Christmas, and then a New Year’s Eve party in Ashland.  It’s going to be grand.  Oh.  It’s going to be grand.
